Bubba Rose - FAQ's & Ingredient Info

FAQ's

What is the shelf life for your treats and how do they need to be stored?

Just like any freshly baked product, our treats have a shelf life. We recommend storing them in their original packaging or a loosely covered container at room temperature for up to a year (they have expiration dates marked on them). The perishable cupcakes and cakes have a much shorter shelf life, they should be fed within a few days of receipt, or refrigerated or frozen. They thaw very well and quickly and instructions are always included with them going over their specific storage requirements.

Where can I buy your products?

We ship in the US and worldwide. Other than the Birthday Girl and Birthday Box boxes, products are not available for sale in Idaho. Sorry.

Are there preservatives in your treats?

There are no preservatives in any of our treats. We bake all our products with the highest quality, wholesome, human-grade ingredients that are healthy for your dog. The way we ensure their shelf life is with moisture, like dehydrated foods or jerky.

Are all your treats wheat, corn, soy & gluten free?

Yes, every treat, cake, and biscuit we make is wheat, corn, soy & gluten free. They are some of the most common allergens to dogs and completely avoidable.

Are all the ingredients safe for dogs?

Absolutely. We never use any ingredients that are harmful to dogs. All of our ingredients are carefully selected, that's our promise to you.

How long will it take to get my goodies?

Once your order is placed, we try to have them shipped within 2-4 business days from the day the order is placed. Shipping times from that point depend upon shipping methods and location.

Ingredients - Healthy, Natural Dog Treats

We believe that every dog treat should be made with real, wholesome, clean ingredients. That's why we use local, fresh ingredients from the USA and never any preservatives. Every treat we bake is wheat, corn, soy & gluten free (the most common allergens and fillers in commercial dog products) and always baked in small batches in our bakery in Miami, FL. Everything we make is free of chemicals, salt, artificial flavors, colors, fillers and GMO ingredients. Just healthy, simple ingredients go into making our treats. And by the way, the dogs absolutely love them!

Flours:

We use oat flour and brown rice flour in our treats. Besides being wheat-free, they are also gluten-free. No wheat and gluten-free, both wonderful for dogs with allergies, which is more common than not these days.

Meats & Eggs:

We use single source proteins in the majority of our treats, which include: beef, chicken, turkey, pork, wild-caught salmon and cage-free eggs. All our meats are locally sourced, free-range, grass-fed, hormone and antibiotic free. We only use local cage-free eggs as well. We love animals (that includes farm animals) and want only the best quality and most humane meat & eggs being used in our treats.

Fruits & Veggies:

Our cakes are made with bananas, a rich source of potassium, fiber, vitamin B6 and C. We use pumpkin in our biscuits, and apple in our shelf stable cakes, cake pops, cake bites, and brownies, a fabulous source of fiber and great digestive aid. We use coconut on top of our decorated treats (instead of artificial sprinkles), a wonderful fruit with antibacterial, antifungal and antiviral properties excellent for so many symptoms.

Peanut Butter:

We use all natural peanut butter, made locally. That means just 100% ground peanuts, that's it! A rich source of protein, and it's just so tasty to humans and dogs alike.

Yogurt Coating:

We have switched to a non-melting yogurt coating that is also sugar-free. Now, we know maltodextrin is a form of sugar, just not from sugarcane, but this product is top of the line and the healthiest product we could source for our treats and we are very happy to be working with it.
Ingredients: yogurt powder, non fat milk powder, modified tapioca starch, egg whites, tapioca maltodextrin, apple pectin, granulated rice and titanium dioxide.

Garlic:

Garlic has been used for decades by holistic vets and included in lots of dog treats and foods for all the positive benefits of garlic, which include: aids as a natural insect repellant, one of the world's most powerful antioxidant foods, aids in digestion, highly palatable and enticing flavor and stimulates immunity – antibacterial, antifungal, antiviral, & anti-parasitic. It was hastily added to the toxic substances list by the ASPCA. Though long used as a safe medicinal plant in pets, garlic has come under scrutiny for the role one of its compounds may play in a condition affecting the red blood cells in some pets. Please know that the amount of garlic in our recipes is a tsp. for 10 lbs of dough, therefore it’s used at levels known to be incredibly safe for our dogs. Garlic would need to be ingested at extremely high levels for an extended period of time to have a detrimental effect on a companion animal's health. We love dogs, and research throughly every ingredient we use in our products, we feel strongly in the positive effects of garlic so we consciously chose to keep it in our products. There is a lot of research and studies detailing the toxicity levels and positive effects of garlic listed on this site, if you’re interested in reading further, click here.
